What we do

The Daisy Garland charity was set up in November 2004 to keep Daisy's memory alive and to help other little children like her.

We fund an increasing number of Ketogenic Dietitians who work in National Health Hospitals treating hundreds of children with intractable epilepsy.

We are the only UK charity funding Ketogenic Dietitians - each dietitian costs up to £45,000 per annum. If you think you could help us fund our next Daisy Garland Ketogenic Dietitian go to HOW YOU CAN HELP. Be in touch today.

Dec 2nd, 2015

We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have pledged funding for a Specialist Ketogenic Dietitian at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh. This will be our 14th funded dietitian!

The interview process is underway and we will keep you posted on a start date for this much needed service in Scotland. If you live in Edinburgh or the surrounding areas and are interested to know more about the diet, please send us an email with your address at: karen.daisygarland@btinternet.com and we will pop some information in the post for you today. For a ketogenic diet referral, please speak to your Consultant who will be able to put the wheels in motion for you.

Thank you so, so much to everyone who has supported us to enable us to provide this funding. We truly couldn't have done this without you all xx
