What we do
The Daisy Garland charity was set up in November 2004 to keep Daisy’s memory alive and to help other little children like her.
We fund an increasing number of Ketogenic Dietitians who work in National Health Hospitals treating hundreds of children with intractable epilepsy.
We are the only UK charity funding Ketogenic Dietitians - each dietitian costs up to £45,000 per annum. If you think you could help us fund our next Daisy Garland Ketogenic Dietitian go to HOW YOU CAN HELP. Be in touch today.

The Daisyometer shows how much we have raised so far to keep our Daisy Garland Ketogenic Dietitians in place for a total of 3 years at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh.
M&S Maldon choose The Daisy Garland as charity of the year
A big thank you to Ben Easton and M&S Maldon for nominating us as their Charity of the Year.
Ben’s mum, Wendy has the following to say...
“ The Daisy Garland is a charity very close to my heart. They have supported our family during the 3 long years that have passed since our 10 year old daughter Becky died from epilepsy. In particular, Sara Garland has been a constant source of contact and friendship for me with her own experience of losing her daughter Daisy, in similar circumstances.
So, of course, I was delighted when my son Ben came home from work at M&S Simply Food one day with the news that The Daisy Garland had been chosen as their store's Charity for the Year!
We, and a small team of friends were invited into the store to start a series of bag packing sessions at the tills, collecting money in buckets from kind and willing customers. So far we have raised the wonderful sum of £800 and have further sessions planned in the run up to Christmas.
The staff and managers have signed up to a ‘Healthy Month’
Challenge supporting and promoting The Daisy Garland in their events. These include swimming, running, cycling and walking. I was roped in at the last minute to swim a mile with the team, having to buy a swim suit and use my old dog blanket from the car as a towel - but I really enjoyed it!
The store is also raising money by donating £5 for every tennis coaching session booked and will be holding a Zumba dance/fitness evening in October. We are also planning a cake and card sale outside of the store in October - selling a selection of beautiful Daisy Garland Christmas cards, exclusively designed for the charity each year by Nick Maland.
We are very proud and delighted that the Maldon branch of M&S Simply Food has chosen to support this wonderful charity and I would like to thank the Store Manager Mike Humphreys, Section Managers and all the employees for making us feel very welcome. A huge thank you must also go to the public who were so generous in rewarding our bag packing efforts. We look forward to seeing everyone again soon.”< Previous Story | Story 16 of 29 | Next Story >
